Materials: Conical tripod teak wood legs base, center piece. Long embossed paper tubular lampshade, parchment style. The paper is knotted, as is the case with parchment. Round teak wood handle on top. 2 E27 sockets. 

Height: 125 cm / 49.21”

Lampshade: ∅ 20 cm / 7.87”

Electricity: 2 bulbs E27, 2 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used. Not a specific one preferred. 

Period: 1950s, 1960s – Mid-Century Modern.

Manufacturer: To be determined.

Other versions: Probably made in some variations and/or sizes.

This parchment rocket floor lamp has no label or whatsoever. The switch is made by WN, a for the moment unknown, probably German company.

The switch has also the Germany VDE logo moulded in the black Bakelite bottom. VDE is a German quality mark. The VDE mark is meant to indicate safety and quality in electrical technologies.

VDE

The VDE company was founded in 1893 in Berlin, Germany. Its task is to develop regulations on electrical systems. In 1904 VDE’s first “book for standards” is published. A first testing center is set up in Berlin in 1920. In 1993, 100 years after its founding, VDE has now 34 regional associations and 36,000 members.
