Materials: Hand blown opalescent milky crystal Murano glass flat round base, tube and globe lampshade, made in 1 piece. Three red glass dots on the base. White painted metal tubes. 6 Bakelite E14 sockets.

The Nefele table lamp was designed by Renato Toso in 1968. Described in the book: Italian light 1960-1980 of Paola Palma and Carlo Vannicola, page 58.

Renato Toso, Noti Massari & Associates

The design group was founded in 1996 and consists of Renato, Noti Massari and children Anna, Marco, Pio and Tito Toso.

Renato Toso was born in Murano (Venice, Italy) in 1940, helped to establish an associated architectural and design studio along with Roberto Pamio and Noti Massari.

Working on public projects as well as with some of the most qualified companies (Artemide, Estel, Leucos, Stilwood, Rossi di Albizzate, Frighetto, Fly Line, North Sailes, Henry Lloyd, Venini, Cattelan Italia, Ali, Alpi, Formica), they develop stands, exhibitions, stores and offices for different companies, taking care of their image and graphics.

The company received many design awards, among which are the 1st Prize at the national competition Tercas architecture 14th edition, 2000, the 1st Prize at the competition Young & design 2005, Selection I.Dot 2004-2005, the Award & “Interzum-Kohl“, & “IBD-Award-USA” and the 1st Prize for the lighting project & “Il cielo in una stanza” (The sky in a room).

Their works have been exhibited in museums around the world, among which are the Palazzo Grassi in Venice, Italy, the Louvre in Paris, France and the MoMA in New York.
