Ateljé Lyktan Anna Table Lamp

Materials: Round chromed metal (iron) base, rod and hoops/rings. White acrylic diffuser inside and on top of the lampshade. Round white fabric (linen) lampshade. Some chrome parts and screws. Bakelite E27 socket.

Height: 66 cm / 25.98”

Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 160 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Other versions: The Ateljé Lyktan Anna table lamp exists in several varieties. This one is model 8300 BJ. Also several pendant, wall and floor lamps were made. Even a tripod reading lamp. Made with metal or wooden rods. The table lamp below is model 4008. These lamp series is also known as Kosta.

Anna Ehrner

Anna Ehrner was born May 24, 1948. She studied ceramics at the National College of Arts in Stockholm, SwedenAnna Ehrner started her career in 1974 at the Kosta Boda glass factory in Småland.

In 1979, Anna took time off to study at Pilchuck Glass School in Stanwood, Washington, USA. She is one of Kosta Boda’s most successful designers.

Ateljé Lyktan

Ateljé Lyktan is a Swedish lighting company founded in 1934 by Hans Bergström and his girlfriend Verna Norell. They wanted to make lamps and weave rugs.

Hans would look after the lamp making and Verna would be in charge of the weaving workshop. The Swedish words for workshop and lamp combined to form the name: Ateljé Lyktan.

Ateljé Lyktan has been active in Åhus for most of its history, and still has its head office there (2020). The company is now part of the Fagerhulst Group, which acquired Ateljé Lyktan in 1974.

Important designers in the company’s history have been Hans Bergström, Anders Pehrson, Bengt Fitger, Tommy Govén, Kristin Leibel, Kristian Andréason, Mia Cullin, Henrik Schulz, Lars Bessfelt, Hannelore Dreutler, Per Sundstedt, Anna Ehrner, Herta Bengtsson, Richard Carruthers, Göran Pehrson, Hans Philips Zachau, Dag Holmgren, Walter Leeman, Mats Wiman and many more.
