It is often said that Andréa Lazzari designed this table lamp in the 70s, but he was born in 1972. Andréa Lazzari designed the Spring lamp collection for Morosini, a brand by Luce Italia, and of course not so long ago, after 2005, when he started to work for Morosini. Al his lamps are still in production.

A pendant chandelier with several lamps such as this one was designed by Babur Kerim Incedayi in 1972 for Bonomi Form.

Luminox – Gallery Oxar

Gallery Oxar was a company active in the 70s. The first name was Luminox (Lumière Inox = Stainless steel lamps). After a few years it changed in Oxar. The company produced some furniture and several lamps, all made of metal. One of the most well known lamps is the Fleur de Lumière table lamp, a stainless steel flower lamp. Philippe Rogier also designed a table lamp made in stainless steel with an smoked acrylic diffuser. Not much is known about the designer, unfortunately.

Sedap

In 2005 the Sedap company distributed a re-edition of the Fleur de Lumière table lamp, together with another light by Oxar, the Disco lamp. Jocelyne Trocmé restarted the Oxar design company in Hay Les Roses in 2005 for this occasion and for a couple of years these lights were reproduced. Oxar ended business in 2009, in 2011 it was officially eliminated.

Stainless steel lamps in this style were among others designed and made by Robert Sonneman and Curtis Jere (USA), Louis Durot (France), Henri Mathieu (France), Michel Boyer (France), Jacques Quinet (France), Françoise Sée (France), Reggiani (Italy). Lumenform (Italy), Gaetano Missaglia (Italy). Edera Radici designed for Sagim (Italy), Polam (Poland). Stilnovo (Italy) produced the Spinnaker lamp designed by Corsini and Wiskemann in 1968.

Polam

The Polish company Polam also sold these spring lamps in the 70s. They sold pendant lamps, chandeliers and also a table lamp. It is unclear if Luminox/Oxar produced these lamps for Polam, or that Polam copied these lamps for the Eastern Block. Probably the latter.

VLM Components

All the electric parts of this Philippe Rogier Oxar wall lamp were made by VLM Components. VLM Components was founded in 1945 in Buccinasco, a small village near Milan, Italy. VLM Components is part of the Relco Group, founded in 1967. Today they are the owners of the brands Relco, Leuci, Relco Lighting, VLM Components and Segno.
