Not much is there to be found about the designer, despite the fact that occasionally you find a lamp for sale with his name on. All beautiful futuristic designs from the 1960s and 1970s made in metal, mainly in stainless steel and/or chrome. He also designed some lamps together with Gabriel Teixidó, who designed a series of lamps for Fase, the famous Spanish company.

Carpyen

The Carpyen company was founded in 1948 by Antonio Carpintero and Encarnación Celdrán. In a few years some 20 people worked for the family business. They mainly made classic lighting at that period. In 1963 Carpyen moved to the new headquarters, were they are located today. In the sixties and seventies they produced several lamps, completely made of metal. Today (2019) Roberto Carpintero is the president of the company.

Designers that work for Carpyen: Gabriel Teixidó, Jordi Veciana, Skye Maunsell, Eloy Quero, Vicent Clausell, Dani Vila, Ester Pujol, NutCreatives, Antoni Pallejà, Cristina Figarola, Jonathan Daifuku, Jordi Penyaranda, Laproduqtora, Nacho Timón, Pascual Salvador, Pete Sans, Ramón Solé, Toni Clariana and Xavier Solé.
