The socket of this rise & fall pendant lamp was made by the Swedish company BNL, today SAB-nordic.
The rise & fall mechanism is made by the Italian Rolly company. At that time it was the biggest producer in Europe for this type of mechanisms. It’s dated 1974, in all probability this lamp is from that date or maximum a short while later.
Maybe this rise & fall pendant lamp it is by the hand of the French – Finnish designer Li Helo. She designed a comparable lamp for the Dutch Company Raak in 1968. But this is just a guess. Li Helo was a “disciple” and good friend of the Finnish Maija Liisa Komulainen, who designed many beautiful lamps.
Incamiciato: overlay lattimo glass (= milky looking glass) with a layer of transparent, mostly coloured glass.
