Kartell Take Table Lamp

Materials: Square base & conical lampshade made of 2 rectangular parts of black translucent injected plastic (poly-carbonate) with a classic table lamp moulded in it. Plastic E14 socket.

Height: 30 cm / 11.81”

Width: 18,5 x 17,5 cm / 7.28 x 6.88”

Electricity: 1 bulb  E14, 1 x 40 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used. Not a specific one preferred.

Period: 2000s.

Designer: Ferruccio Laviani in 2003.

Manufacturer: Kartell, Milan, Italy.

Ferruccio Laviani

Pietro Ferruccio Laviani was born in Cremona, near Milan in Italy in 1960. His work mainly focuses on product design, interior design, art direction and graphics. Since 1991, he is the Art Director for Kartell.

Ferruccio Laviani also worked for De Padova, Emmemobili, Flos, Foscarini, Moroso and Society (Limonta).

Often is said that this lamp is one of his early designs for Kartell in the nineties, but this lamp was designed in 2003 and is still in production (2020).

Ferruccio Laviani also designed the Fly pendant lamp, the Bloom pendant lamp, the Kabuki outdoor lamp, the Tati table lamp, the Bourgie table lamp and many others. You can find them all on the website of the Kartell company.

Kartell

Kartell is an Italian company that produces plastic contemporary furniture. The company, headquartered in Milan, began manufacturing automobile accessories in 1949. It expanded into home furnishings in 1963. It was founded by Italian chemical engineer Giulio Castelli (1920 – 2006) and his wife and architect Anna Castelli Ferrieri (1918 – 2006). Kartell became well-known due to the work of designs by her hand.
