EWÅ Perforated Bedside Table Lamp
Materials: Round mint green painted curved aluminium base with a built-in switch. Gold painted metal (iron) bottom. Metal screw. Conical mint green painted perforated aluminium lampshade. Perforated with 4 dots together. Both painted in wrinkle-paint. Folded brass rod. Brass ornamental screw & parts. Bakelite E27 socket.
Height: 25 cm / 9.44”
Lampshade: ∅ 14 cm / 9.05”
Base: ∅ 13 cm / 5.51”
Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Other versions: This EWÅ perforated bedside table lamp exists in several colours. Produced with several different lampshades. This lamp is model 40. It can be used as a wall lamp, a recess is provided.
The EWÅ logo is pressed in the bottom plate. Also a label with an S is present. The S stands for Sweden.

Unfortunately, no information can be found about the EWÅ company. As we can see on the lamps they produced, the company was active from the 1950s until the 1980s. EWÅ was located in Värnamo. Värnamo is a locality and the seat of Värnamo Municipality, in the south of Sweden. It has some 20.000 inhabitants including Bruno Mathsson (1907 – 1988) and Dan Ihreborn (born 1952), well known for their furniture and lamp designs.
