BD Lumica
Not much information to be found about the BD Lumica company. Except for many lamps made with brass square rods in the style of the Willy Rizzo floor lamp. It is unlikely that Willy Rizzo got anything to do with it. His designs were copied by many companies.
BD Lumica is from Barcelona, Spain. But the company BD Barcelona Design, a well known lighting producer from Barcelona got nothing to do with it and they have never heard about the BD Lumica company. They have another logo, also in the 70s, as you can see below. They also use the bd in their logo, but that’s all.
BD Barcelona Design is well known for their famous designers. Among others: Salvador Dalí, Antoni Gaudí, Ettore Sottsass Jr., Alfredo Häberli, Jaime Hayon, Doshi Levien and many others.
Another company that produced similar lamps was the German company Arte Lumen, from München. A table lamp can be found here on Vintageinfo. They produced many lamps in this square brass rods style. Also many lamps with chrome and brass rods together. Often attributed to Gaetano Sciolari, but they are not. Several other companies such as the Belgian Belgo Chrom and Massive produced similar lighting.
