Heiru Leuchten Conical Table Lamp “Tütenschirm 503”

Materials: Brass rod. Grey painted aluminium conical folded lampshade, white painted inside. White plastic base with a gold coloured anodised aluminium inlay. Metal screws. Bakelite socket.

Height: 20 cm / 7.87” – adjustable

Base: 10,5 x 7 cm / 4.13 x 2.75”

Electricity: 1 bulb E14, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Period: 1960s – Mid-Century Modern.

Manufacturer: HEIRU A. & R. Heinz GmbH, Winden am See, Austria.

Other versions: The base of this Heiru Leuchten conical table lamp was used for many other lamps.

Made in the style of lamp model 0513, designed by Josef Hurka for Napako from the Czech Republic, the neighbour country of Austria. The lamp is named “the nun“, after the folded nun’s hood.

HEIRU A. & R. Heinz GmbH is a family business founded in 1948 in Vienna, Austria. The company was located at the Einwanggasse 48. In 1964 they opened their factory in Winden am See. Today the factory is also located in the Czech Republic.

HEIRU manufacturers antennas, antenna accessories and radio receivers in table lamp form.
A similar table lamp exist, model 502a and it has got a MW radio inside. Other lamps with a radio inside are models 503a, 504a, 510r and 510s.

This table lamp can also be used as a wall lamp, desk lamp and bedside lamp.
