All the electric parts are made by the VLM Components company from Bucanisco near Milan in Italy. The switch is designed in 1968 by Achille Castiglioni, so this lamp is a most likely a bit younger.
The wiring and plug are 1960s. In the 1970s VLM Components produced different plugs, sockets and wires. The Vistosi company used this type of wiring for many years.
Similar lamps were designed by Wayne Husted in the 1950s for the American company Blenko from West Virginia. Wayne is still producing this type of lamps.
