Materials: Rectangular brass base, square folded brass rod, ceramics, round fabric lampshade. Bakelite socket.

Total Height: 38,5 cm / 15.15”

Width: 35 cm / 13.77”

Base: 14,3 x 25,2 cm / 5.62 x 9.92”

Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 75 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Period: 1970s, 1980s – Hollywood Regency.

Designer: To be appraised.

Manufacturer: J.L.B. France or Belgium, no information to be found. A search in the Belgian Official Gazette didn’t give any result. But searches can only take place until 1983.

These table lamps have a paper label on the bottom, J.L.B. 75 watt Max, Type: (hand written) “Canard bec rouge” in French: duck red beak.

The ceramics are in all probability porcelain. The brass rectangular base is patinated over the years. The ducks are a presentation of the common merganser (or a fantasy).
