Materials: Sandstone base. Hammered and burned brass rod and artichoke. Fabric lampshade. Brass socket.

Electricity: 1 x B22 bulb, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.
Period: 1950s, 1960s – Brutalist.
Designer: To be appraised.
Manufacturer: To be appraised. Traces of a label on the back are present. Acquired in France some years ago. It also has a French B22 socket. Made in the style of the Maison Jansen and Maison Charles lamps.
The most famous artichoke lamp is the Artichoke chandelier designed by Poul Henningsen in 1957 and produced by Louis Poulsen.
Also Peill + Putzler produced an artichoke flush mount or wall lamp.
