Stainless Steel Flower Chandelier

Materials: 3 polished stainless steel leaves lampshades. Chrome tubes and parts. Aluminium canopy. Rolly rise & fall mechanism. 3 Bakelite E27 sockets.

Cord: This one has an adjustable rise & fall mechanism (70-120 cm / 27.55-47.24”). It can be easily adjusted in height by pulling the bar underneath.

Electricity: 3 x E27 bulbs, 4 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulbs can be used, but preferably silver capped light bulbs.

Tappital

This chandelier was produced by the Italian company Tappital S.N.C. They made many lamps in stainless steel and chrome. The company is long gone. It was located in Alessandria, in the Piedmont region in the north of Italy, about 90 kilometres (56 mi) from Turin. S.N.C.: Società in Nome Collettivo, General partnership.

Rolly

The rise & fall mechanism was produced in Italy by Rolly. Rolly was one of the biggest producers in Europe of this type of rise & fall mechanisms. Dates on Rolly mechanisms appear until the mid 70’s. Later in time no date was pressed in the plastic anymore. The Rolly company no longer exists.

Stainless steel

Stainless steel or Inox is an alloy of iron, chrome and carbon.

These type of chandeliers are often described as lamps made by Reggiani. Reggiani made several lamps in stainless steel.

Sometimes presented as a lamp made by French artist Max Sauze. Max Sauze produced metal lamps, but all made in aluminium.

Sciolari also produced many lamps with chrome and stainless steel, but mostly in combination with other metals such as brass. It was one of the trademarks of Gaetano Sciolari.

Stainless steel lamps in this style were among others designed and made by Robert Sonneman and Curtis Jere (USA), Louis Durot (France), Henri Mathieu (France), Gallery Oxar (France), Michel Boyer (France), Jacques Quinet (France), Françoise Sée (France), Reggiani (Italy). Lumenform (Italy), Gaetano Missaglia (Italy). Edera Radici designed for Sagim (Italy), Polam (Poland). Stilnovo (Italy) produced the Spinnaker lamp designed by Corsini and Wiskemann in 1968.
