1950s Candle Wall Lamp
Materials: 2 curved brass rods. Black painted metal (iron) wall mount. Two black Bakelite candle holders and E27 lamp sockets.

Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred. For this setup tubular bulbs were used.

Other versions: This 1950s candle wall lamp was probably also made as a chandelier.
Candlestick wall lights such as these are mostly made with an E14 socket. It is not known which light bulbs were necessary. It could be bulbs in the shape of a flame, but today they are all made with a smaller socket. For this setup bulbs made by the German Paulmann were used. They are no longer in production.
VLM Components
The lamp sockets were produced by VLM Components in the 1950s and 1960s. VLM Components was founded in 1945 in Buccinasco, a small village near Milan, Italy. VLM Components is part of the Relco Group, founded in 1967. Today they are the owners of the brands Relco, Leuci, Relco Lighting, VLM Components and Segno. VLM Components became famous for the switches they produce which were designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1968.
