Jalest Tripod Table Lamp

Materials: 3 teak legs and base. Round opal tubular lampshade made of some type of acrylic or Rhodoïd (cellulose acetate). Made in the Rotaflex sugar crystals style. 3 ornamental brass screws. Bakelite B22 socket.

Electricity: 1 bulb B22, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb with a B22 bayonet socket can be used. Not a specific one preferred.

Other versions:  This Jalest tripod table lamp exists in all probability in several versions.

Many lamps were made in this style. Bedside lamps, table lamps, floor lamps, pendant lamp, chandeliers and wall lamps. All with this “faux sugar” plastic type of lampshades of pressed acrylic/Perspex soft grains with teak or some other tropical wood and brass. They are made in a square form, round, rectangular or oval.

Jalest

Unfortunately, not much is known about this French company. It was founded in 1900 and ended business in 2001. Of all the lamps you will find from this brand, this type of chandeliers is one of the most striking.

Albert Lehe designed the “Le Circle” lamp around 1980.  A lamp with a square base and a 3 circles lampshade. Illkirch-Graffenstaden is a commune in the Bas-Rhin department in Grand Est in north-eastern France.
