Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred, but a frosted one, maybe with a twist in it, would give a nice result.

Other versions: This amber Murano glass classic chandelier was in all probability also made with more or less light bulbs.
These chandeliers are produced for many years on the Murano Island, and they still do. They are one of the prides of the Venetian glass art industries. Almost every company produced them over the last 100 years.
This chandelier has six elegantly curved branches with bevelled cut bobêches, gilt brass frame and candelabra sockets, a superbly crafted chandelier.
