1970s Art Deco Style Wall Lamp

Materials: Square brown Bakelite wall or ceiling mount. Translucent smoked acrylic lid on top. Chromed metal (iron) decoration. Mat, frosted glass globe, round striped. Rubber ring inside (IP54). Some metal and plastic parts. Bakelite E27 socket.

Height: 20 cm / 7.87”

Width: 15 x 15 cm / 5.90” x 5.90”

Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 75 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used. Not a specific one preferred.

Period: 1970s, 1980s – Art Deco Revival.

Other versions: For the moment it is unclear if this 1970s art deco style wall lamp exists in some variations or colours. Seen them once before, but they were exactly the same.

The label is present on all 3 lamps. Unfortunately they are not readable anymore. The labels are completely faded, only the silver colour of the paper labels remains. It is just a question of time to figure it out… In all probability these lamps were made in Germany.

In this configuration these lamps are used in a bathroom above a mirror. They are IP54; dust proof and splash proof, ideal for a humid environment.

These lamps also originate from a bathroom built in the late 1970s in Belgium where they were used as wall lamps. But they might as well serve as a flush mount.
