Werkstätten für kunsthandwerkliche Raumleuchten, Bronzewarenfabrik (Workshops for artisan room lights, bronze goods factory) in short WKR Leuchten was founded in 1920 in Berlin, Germany. After the war the company was rebuild in Offenbach am Main.
It was taken over by Hermann-Josef Brumberg in 1980 and moved to Sundern in 1986. In 2019 the company became part of or was taken over by Herzblut GmbH Leuchten a company that produces lighting in wood. HerzBlut GmbH is located in the same town in the Illingheimer Straße 29, 59846 Sundern.
Stéphane Davidts, Davidts Lighting – Les Ateliers de la Cambre was or is part of the WKR Leuchten company. It is also possible that WKR Leuchten only sold the brass lamps of Stéphane Davidts. Fact is that you only find these tubular table lamps with a label of WKR.
Stéphane Davidts was founded in 1980 at the same time WKR Leuchten was taken over. On the old website of WKR was written: Our light collection by Stephane Davidts can be found at: www.davidts.com.
