Viva Lagoon Olympic Floor Lamp

Materials: Chromed metal (iron) tripod base, made of 3 rods with plastic revolving caps. Chrome round plate with air-holes. Red oval glas globe lampshade with a chrome round cap. 2 plastic E27 sockets.

Lampshade: ∅ 47 x 25 cm / 18.50 x 9.84”

Height: 165 cm / 16.14”

Electricity: 2 bulbs E27, 2 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb with an E27 screw base can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Period: 2000s.

Designer: To be appraised.

Manufacturer: TRIO Leuchten, Dieselstraße 4, 59823 Arnsberg, Germany.

Other versions: The Viva Lagoon Olympic floor lamp exists in white and red. It was also produced as a table lamp, you can find it over here on Vintageinfo. The design of the lamps is inspired by the Olympic flame, hence the name.

TRIO Leuchten

TRIO Leuchten GmbH was founded in 1991. In 2006 the company was bought by Massive from Belgium. Philips bought Massive in November 2006. In December 2010, TRIO Leuchten was bought back by the management from Philips together with Reality Leuchten GmbH and became 100% independent January 1st 2011.   

The same tripod base was used for several other lamps, as you can see in a 2010s TRIO Leuchten catalogue.
