Ignasi Riera
Several Ignasi Riera exist. But who the designer of this particular lamp is, is unsure. Two well known Ignasi Riera are Joan Ignasi Riera Mas, a designer and architect from Barcelona, but he is too young. Maybe it was his father or a family member who designed this floor lamp. Ignasi Riera i Gassiot is a writer, journalist, lecturer and parliamentarian born in 1940, also from Barcelona, Spain.
Llum
Llum, which means light in Spanish, was a lighting company from Barcelona, Spain. Unfortunately no information can be found, except for some lamps from the 70s and 80s online. Do you have more info about the company? Please let us know through the contact form and help improve the websites exactitude.
Today another lighting company exists with the name Llum, but it is a Dutch firm founded by Godert Schouten. It has nothing to do with the Spanish company.
Of course the name Llum is widespread in Spain. For instance, Llum in Barcelona is a festival of light in February that aims to counter the darkness of winter with the splendour of light.
Several lighting shops use Llum in their name in the city. To name a few: Drac de Llum, Viva Llum, Energia de Llum, La Llum de la Vila.
