Estiluz

The Estiluz company was founded in 1969 by Gerard Masdeu Jordà, a young entrepreneur with great vision and taste for design. He drew on his father’s mechanical experience and the help of his brother to found the firm.

Today Estiluz has regional sales offices in Paris, New York and Frankfurt. All lighting is produced in the factory in Spain, some 116 km / 72 mi from Barcelona.

In 2012 they received the ADI-FAD Silver Delta Prize for the original design of its Balloon flush mount and wall lamp. This is one of Spain’s most prestigious design awards. It was designed by Francesc Crous and Alessandro Calogero from the CrousCalogero Design Studio. The ADI-FAD is the Association of Industrial Design (Associació de Disseny Industrial).

The best known designers, Perry King and Santiago Miranda (King & Miranda Design), famous for the lighting they designed for Arteluce/Flos, designed the E-Llum lamp range in 2006. These lamps are no longer in production.

Other designers that work for Estiluz are: estudi{H}ac, OIKo Design Office, Josep Lluís Xuclà, Jordi Blasi, Nahtrang Studio, Joan Cinca / Laproduqtora, Goula / Figuera, Roger Vancells, Gabriel Teixidó, Francesc Rife, Serge and Robert Cornelissen, JM Massana, JM Tremoleda, M Ferrer, Estudi Ribaudí, Leonardo Marelli, LaGranja, Oriol Guimerà, Ramón Valls, Guimerà i Cinca, Estudio Alfred García Gotós, Ximo Roca diseño, Serra & Delarocha, Jordi Vayreda project team.
