Designer: Rolf Krüger

Rolf Krüger is a graduate designer. From 1959 until 1960 he studied free and applied art at the Heinrich Zernack School in Berlin. In the period 1960-1964 Krüger went to the Meisterschule für das Kunsthandwerk (master school for the arts and crafts), the Staatliche Werkkunstschule, today named UdK, were he studied graphic and product design.

From 1965 until 1982 he was executive officer in the product and fair design in the field of home lighting.

Since 1983 Rolf Krüger is a freelancer in product design in glass, metal, plastic, concrete and large-scale murals.

    Paul Neuhaus Leuchten GmbH, Arnsberg 

    A series of lamps designed in the 1980s for Paul Neuhaus. A chandelier, pendant lamp, table lamp, floor lamp, flush mount and desk lamps.

    The Paul Neuhaus lighting company was founded in October 1962 by Paul Neuhaus in Vosswinkel as a joinery. He started with one employee and one machine as a wood processor. The wooden parts produced are mainly delivered to the lighting industry. The first wood floor lamps were made in 1970

    Since 2014 the company is part of the Neuhaus Lighting Group, together with LeuchtenDirekt and Blicklicht. More info about the history of the company can be found on their website.

    Wiesenthalhütte

    A glass globe table lamp designed in the 1980s for Wiesenthalhütte.

    The Wiesenthalhütte glass factory was founded in 1868. The company ended business in 1991 under increasing pressure from mechanical glass production. The models, iron works archives and production catalogues are in the museum Hentrich in Düsseldorf.
