Materials: Black painted brass parts, brass. Red painted brass round lampshade. Conical brass ornamental screws. Amber glass diffuser. Bakelite socket. Red painted aluminium canopy.

Chain Length: 60 cm / 23.62’’

Height: 25 cm / 12.20”

Width: ∅ 23 cm / 8.26”

Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, but a white, opaque or frosted one is preferred.

Period: 1970s.

These type of lights were made for many years. The origin is vague, but they were presumably first made in France and Italy. Off course the design is based on the typical candlestick lanterns, but there was a revival of this design in the 1950s.

This one is made in the 1970s. Not so obvious because in that period the popularity was long gone. It is possible that the electricity has been redone in the 70s, but I guess not. In all probability produced in Germany, to see on the marks on the socket. Approved for Norway, Sweden, Switzerland en Germany.
