Green & White Glass Table Lamp

Materials: Round green incamiciato hand blown crystal glass base, white on the inside. White opal hand blown glass mushroom lampshade. Black painted metal ring and bottom plate (aluminium, iron and brass). Bakelite E27 socket.

Height: 30 cm / 11.81”

Width: ∅ 32 cm / 12.59”

Base: ∅ 12 cm / 4.72”

Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used. But a frosted or white/opaque one is preferred.

Period: 1960s, 1970s – Mid-Century Modern.

Designer:To be appraised.

Manufacturer: To be determined.

Other versions: This green & white glass table lamp exists in several sizes and colours.

Incamiciato: overlay lattimo glass (= milky looking glass) with a layer of transparent coloured glass.

When people think of this type of lamp, they often call it AV Mazzega, but countless manufacturers made them. Almost every brand had at least one lamp in this style.

AV Mazzega

AV Mazzega was founded in 1946 by Angelo Vittorio Mazzega. In 1950 his son Gianni Bruno Mazzega started working in the family’s glass factory. Gianni Bruno Mazzega is responsible for the creation of many beautiful lamps.

Today, under the watchful eye of Andrea Mazzega, grandson of Angelo Vittorio, the company works together with high-level international designers. Andrea is the president of the company since 2000. Today the company is named Mazzega 1946.

Designers that worked for AV Mazzega – Mazzega 1946 are among others: Carlo NasonAldo Nason, Christophe Pillet, Michele De Lucchi, Giovanni Barbato, Paolo Piva, Sam Baron, Gasmi Chafik, Oriano Favaretto and Riccardo Giovanetti.
