1950s Uplighter Pendant Lamp 

Materials: Brass parts, brass curved rods, brass rod. Black painted aluminium mushroom lampshade, painted white inside. Aluminium globe in the middle, also in black. Black painted aluminium lamp socket holders. Black aluminium canopy. Bakelite E27 sockets.

Rod Length: 80 cm / 31.49”

Height: 40 cm / 15.74”

Width: ∅ 44 cm / 17.32”

Electricity: 5 bulbs E27, 5 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Period: 1950s, 1960s – Mid-Century Modern.

Manufacturer: To be appraised.

Other versions: This 1950s uplighter pendant lamp exists in several colours. Also a floor lamp was made.

Lamps in this style were for the first time designed before World War II. For instance, Gino Sarfatti designed 6 up-lighters between 1938 and 1952.

Many of these type of up-light chandeliers were produced in Italy, France and Germany in the 1950s.

An American dealer online says it is a French lamp, but without any proof or brand name, unfortunately. Maybe he bought it in France…
