Italian Art Deco Desk Lamps
Materials: Rectangular clear green glass base, embossed bottom. Square curved brass rod. Mint green round aluminium lampshade, painted with wrinkle paint. Painted white inside. Nickel-plated brass E27 socket with a ribbed porcelain ring (small table lamp). Brass E27 socket with a ribbed porcelain ring (big one).

Other versions: These Italian art deco desk lamps are made in two sizes, as you can see. The exists with a marble and glass base. Another rod was also used. Several different colours of lampshades exists.
These beautiful lamps are made in the style of the lighting designed by Pietro Chiesa and produced by the Italian company FontanaArte. Labels on the base of both lamps from a shop with 2 branches in Charleroi, Belgium that is long gone. One shop was in the “Passage de la Bourse 7 – 9“, a famous shopping mall build in 1890-1893 and designed by Edmond Legraive. The other shop was around the corner in the Rue de College 10. R. Muhr, founded in 1853 ended business around 1986. The R. Muhr company sold lighting, decoration, glass and household stuff.
