Deknudt Lustrerie NV

Deknudt Lighting is a family owned business since 1956 and started by Armand Deknudt together with his wife Brita Monbaliu. The company started with the production of high end lighting, mainly with brass and marble.

Deknudt Lighting still exists and since 1992 his daughter Lucia Deknudt, together with her husband Francis Clarysse are the owners.

Deknudt sold several lamps produced by Loevsky & Loevsky, among others an owl lamp in the same style. You can find it over here on Vintageinfo.

This lamp and others in this style are most of the time sold as Maison Charles lamps from Paris, France. But they are not. Maison Charles has a table lamp with a horse head, but it’s different, also made in a superb quality and always marked. Maison Charles produces a horse-head lamp since the 1960s. You can find the original on the Maison Charles website: Cheval socle.
