1960s Wool Table Lamp
Materials: Handmade wool lampshade with a metal frame. Wooden base and brass rod. white painted Bakelite socket.
Total height: 31 cm / 12.20”
Lampshade: ∅ 21 cm / 8.26”
Base: ∅ 9 cm / 3.54”
Electricity: 1 bulb E14, 1 x 40 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.
Period: 1960s – Mid-Century Modern.

Maybe this bedside or table lamp is a one off and artisan made by someone in the 1960s during a creative moment or it was made by an artist to be appraised. A similar lamp is hard to find.
The switch and all the other electric parts were made by the VLM company from Buccinasco near Milan in Italy. Achille Castiglioni (1918 – 2002) designed their famous switch in 1968. VLM is owned by Relco.
