Materials: White square ceramic base with a flower print in pink and yellow. Square fabric lampshade with a flower print. Chrome and metal parts. Bakelite socket.

Lampshade: 26 x 26 cm / 10.23 x 10.23”

Base: 13 x 13 cm / 5.11 x 5.11”

Electricity: 1 bulb E27, 1 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb can be used, not a specific one preferred.

Period: 1980s.

Designer: To be appraised.

Manufacturer: To be appraised.

Other versions: In all probability.

A long search did not give any result, unfortunately. The text/name on the lampshade and base are also hard to read. Maybe it says B. Europa or almost something like that. Probably the name of the designer. The other signature is probably from the producer. It is written on the inside of the table lamp. Hardly to read, probably in Italian.

The flowers on the table lamp are garden cosmos – Mexican aster (Cosmos bipinnatus), or just a fantasy.

VLM Components

All the electric parts were made in the 1980s by VLM Components. The company was founded in 1945 in Buccinasco, a small village near Milan, Italy. The company became famous for the switches they produce since 1968, designed by Achille Castiglioni. You can find them over here. Today VLM is part of the Relco Group, founded in 1967. They are the owners of the brands RelcoLeuciRelco LightingVLM and Segno.
