Star-Leuchten Table Lamp

Materials: Chromed metal (iron) frame consisting of 6 rings stacked together. Some metal parts. White curved opal glass mushroom lampshade with a chrome ring on top. Bakelite E27 sockets.

Height: 43 cm / 16.92”

Lampshade: ∅ 38 cm / 14.96”

Base: ∅ 23 cm / 9.05”

Electricity: 2 bulbs E27, 2 x 60 watt maximum, 110/220 volt.
Any type of light bulb with an E27 screw base can be used, but white or frosted bulbs are recommended for lamps with this type of glass.

Period: 1960s, 1970s – Mid-Century Modern.

Designer: To  be appraised.

Manufacturer: Star-Leuchten, Cologne, Germany.

Other versions: This Star-Leuchten table lamp exists also as a floor lamp. Produced with several different lampshades or the lampshades are replaced, that’s unclear. Labelled with Star-Leuchten Köln.

Very rare table lamp from the German company “Star-Leuchten” of Cologne, Germany. Little is known about this company. Established somewhere in the 1960s, ended business somewhere in the 1980s. They also produced several chandeliers in the Gaetano Sciolari style. Not many lamps to be found online.

This lamp has a switch with 3 positions: only the light bulb below, only the bulb on top or both light bulbs together.
