Kinkeldey-Leuchten

Kinkeldey-Leuchten was located in Bad Pyrmont in between Hannover and Bielefeld in Germany. Bad Pyrmont is a city with some 19.000 inhabitants and is a popular spa resort.

Not much is known about Kinkeldey, they don’t have a website and it’s unclear if the company still exists, ended business or has changed address.
The Kinkeldey family would have its origin in the Austrian German border, an area well known for the production of crystal glass.

There are three other companies with the same name: Lichtsysteme Dr. Kinkeldey GmbH in Lemgo, 30 Km (18.6 miles) away from Bad Pyrmont and Kinkeldey Licht Dr. Schütze e.K. in Villingen, 566 Km (351.7 miles) away near the Swiss border. Kinkeldey GmbH in Lemgo has ended business in 2007.
The third company is Kinkeldey – Licht GmbH in Stuttgart, some 100 Km (62 miles) from Villingen and was founded in 2009.
None of these companies have a website.

Kinkeldey received 8 iF Design Awards, one for a similar pendant lamp in 1969. (discipline: product).
