This brass dome rise & fall pendant lamp has a mechanism that is not made by the Italian company Rolly as usual, but made by HHK. It is named “Lift 2000“. No information to be found. The company must be long gone and forgotten.

HHK International exists, but it is a car race parts company from Luxembourg. Lift 2000 is an elevator firm from Italy.

Lift 2000 is a typical name for the 70’s. Many companies used the 2000; it was fashionable. In the 80’s it was turbo. Not only on cars but also sunglasses, chewing gum… Today (2019) 3D is a popular addendum, even for toothpaste.

These type of pendant lamps were usually used in the kitchen above the kitchen table.

Brass is a metallic alloy that is made of copper and zinc.
